For EUR our focus is on one of the pillars of R&R: achieving balance between individuals and the collective. Our interest is in finding ways to match the missions and visions of teams with the ambitions and strengths of individuals. Teams can have different purposes and institutional contexts, ranging from organizing interdisciplinary research to address interdisciplinary issues, to building a disciplinary research team within a department. These differences have consequences for the combination of skills and tasks that are needed from the individual members. We will design a research intelligence framework that supports the reward and recognition of EUR’s teams and their members and that links up to existing working practices in a natural way with minimal additional workload.
